Week 8 completed onto week 9 on Saturday. All my runs up to now have been on a treadmill and I’m now looking at doing some outside and I’m just interested to anyone that started on the treadmill then faced outdoor was it a big adjustment or just more will power and confidence. My treadmill as always got a slight incline always on.

Brilliant you've completed wk8. Running outside is different because you are in charge if your pace. Where as the treadmill dine it for you. When you do go outside keep your pace really slow you will be able to tell with your breathing. Slow and slower again. Well done you 😊

I was the same, only used the treadmill up to last Sunday morning when I did W6 R3 outside, it was brilliant, felt so much more enjoyable and I did the time without getting as hot. I've gone back on the treadmill for W7 R1 & R2 this week, struggled and really wish I'd been able to go out so can't wait for the weekend. Outside I kept telling myself "I can make it to the next point" (something that I could see in the distance) and then the next and before I knew it the time was up unlike the treadmill where I find that I'm forever watching the display. I was glad that I planned my route before I went out though to make sure that it was relatively flat for my first time outside. Good luck and i hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)

I know what you mean about watching the display as I ended up taping the time display up when the runs got longer so I wasn’t tempted to keep looking. I will brave the outdoors . Thanks for your reply and well done on getting your self out side to run after doing treadmill for the 1st 6 weeks
