Just done it and on Tuesday big run

But when I look at the week 6 run 1 it looks to me that we are going back to easy runs why do that when we do 20 min on week 5 run 3

I just don’t understand that

I know that the program works well as I managed to run so much

But why oh why

Does anyone else feel that way

Happy running 🏃‍♀️ everyone

Trust the plan.

Week 6 Run 1 catches more people out than any other in the entire programme............... this is a mental and a physical progression that works.

For me it look like it will be a walk in the park after the week 5 run3 but we will see

It is the longest workout in the plan up to that point.

Don't discount your brisk walking.

This might help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

I do discount the walking part as I do brisk walking even after my run because I go back home and take my dog for a brisk walk which tonight have lasted 30 min so yeah I’m counting only running as this is only part that is harder for me

Week 6 run 1 is longer we found it really hard after reading here that it catches people out. Good luck

Enjoy the big one.

W6R1 intervals are tricky... brisk walking keeps the heart rate up, so you won’t be as fresh into interval 2 as you were at the start... it all adds up. Slow and steady is the key to it. It’s the run that stood out to me before I started the plan.
