Well this week has been hard, I only just managed to do run 2 of week 5. Running for 8 minutes was a struggle and am really worried when I have to run for 20 mins, which I’m doing Friday morning. If I can’t do it, shall I repeat week 5?? I’m not giving up, that’s what I keep telling myself anyway. This was my view this morning, 8 minutes up hill then 8 down.

You can do run 3... slow and steady, trust and believe!

Good job today

Thanks 😊

I remember that feeling and never believed I could run for 20 minutes but I did! Just take it at your own pace and aim for 5 minutes at a time. Good luck 🙂

Do you listen to music when running?

😸🎵🏃

in reply toKatnap

Oh yes, definitely couldn’t do without.

Try running with some slower tempo music or a comedy podcast instead.

It might help run slower 😸

Just wanted to butt in here. I normally listen to rock music when I'm running, but having found W6R3 and W7R1 (which are identical) really hard going for reasons I couldn't quite put my finger on, one thing I decided to change for W7R2 was my choice of music. I listened to classical music instead (picked something that was the right length for the run, and consistently exciting) and somehow it was a revelation. The run felt easy and at the end I noted that my pace had been fractionally slower throughout than my previous 2 runs. No idea whether that was partly or fully to do with my choice of music, but it seemed to make a big difference!

I listen to a wide range of music, I’m still tweeking my running playlist, I have some slow, rock, dance all sorts really but no classical.....yet.

If I haven't done one very well or struggled I repeated it and then went onto the next one. I completed the 8 mins one and next is the w5r3 which will be sat. Seems big stretch to do 20.mins. let us know how it goes

in reply toKdi11

I going to try tomorrow and see how it goes.

I did run three yesterday and slow and steady is right. Good luck with the hill

in reply toGooner1971

Thanks, my run is usually steady up hill and when half way turn round back down, there’s plenty of flat on the Heath where I run so I think I will try that.

I feel the same way. Have same run tomorrow. But so far I’ve surprised myself. I bet you have done the same

Stay positive. Believe in the process

in reply toIbot

Same, I have really surprised myself too, hope it goes well tomorrow.
