Progress from W5R2?

Hi, I’ve just done run 2 of week 5 and found it really hard. I was wondering how people found the progression from run 2 to run 3? I managed to do R2 but it was so so hard. Has anyone felt that way but still managed to do R3?

In all honesty I always find the second run to be the hardest. You can always repeat s run or even a week if you feel it's too much to move on. Maybe try going a little slower too?

Thank you. I really want to keep progressing with it and so want to try it but if I can’t do it it might knock me back a bit 🙈 thank you for your reply

You'll be fine I'm sure. Just take it slowly (and choose a flat route 😀)

Hi, I managed my week 5 run 3 today. Like you I was very apprehensive but once I started running I found it ok. I run quite slowly anyway and just kept plodding on. I found running longer without the stops meant that I could zone out a bit. Good luck with your next run and I'm sure you will surprise yourself.

For me personally I had to repeat this run a couple of times before finally getting that 20 minutes. But don't worry a lot of people on here manage it first time , just go slow 😊

You have definitely got this. I agree, I found run 2 a slog but run 3 was easier, maybe it was the nerves!

Be ready to surprise yourself. You can do it!

Like Buddy34 said, if you need to repeat it that is absolutely fine and not failing at all. You’re succeeding by just getting out there and giving it a try. Repeat runs just means you are a more experienced runner!

Having said that - I’m sure you will do fantastically. You absolutely can do it, keep pushing through and let us know how you get on. Best of luck! 🏃‍♀️
