Planning for after graduation :) - what would you suggest?

I have very proudly managed to get to week 8 run 2, and can slowly run for 28 minutes. I think part of my success, like many others, is due to the structure of the programme. So I'm now thinking of when (not if) I graduate next weekend.

ATM, my warm up and cool down 10 mins plus the running and getting back to my car from my route, in total is 2 miles/3.2 km. I've just read the post about consolidation runs so will be starting those after I graduate. After that, I was thinking of joining my local running group to help me develop further and have more camaraderie (along with being on here :)). They have a programme starting 2 weeks after I graduate, that starts like week 1 of the C25k programme, with run 1min, walk 1min, etc but they go for 5k (as opposed my current 3.2). So I was thinking of joining them from the beginning and feel I will be able to increase my speed a little whilst also increasing my distance. Does this sound like a good idea?

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts :)

Yes I do Debston. I'm thinking going in a couple of weeks before I join the running club. Would you suggest I run to the week 9 schedule and walk the rest? (as i'm not at 5k yet) :)
