Well I managed to complete W2R1 this morning. I’ve had to rejig my run days as my husband will be away part of this week, so effectively this run was a day early. I woke up with a headache and it was a bit of a mental battle to get out there. I’d say it was my least enjoyable run so far, but I’m glad it’s done.

The hardest thing for me is controlling my breathing. I feel like my legs are fine & I have more energy in the tank; but my breathing holds me back. I concentrate hard on breathing - in through my nose and out through my mouth. However after two reps I’m struggling to recover in the walk sections & that makes each subsequent run section much harder. Is this just me being unfit? Will it get easier? Any tips you can suggest?

I'm the same I always used to be good at short distances and put it down to that. I suppose its learning a different way of breathing.

We will get there.

As we are always told on here if you're struggling to breathe you're going too fast. Slow down when you run again and it should help. Good luck 😊
