I've completed every run up to this point without needing any second attempts, not that some weren't hard! I did the 20 minutes in W5 but found it pretty difficult. Now I'm about to do the 25 minutes and I'm all up in my head about it. Today's run (W6R2) was fairly challenging but so much easier for me mentally with the 3 min walk in the middle. Does anyone have any advice for the mental challenge? I had been enjoying the programme hugely but now that I'm onto the longer runs I'm dreading them a little which I don't want to!

Welcome, and well done so far.

The brisk walk breaks are cardio just as much as running is... today you did 23 after the warmup, next is 25... it’s not the big leap that our minds see it as. The next run is all about the mind, keep that pace down, even more so in the first half, tell the voices in you head that they’re wrong, relax and enjoy yourself... you can do it.

And remember, don't go off too fast and keep it steady. Conversational pace. I listen to music and look at what's going on around me too. I did the 25 min run today and it flew by. I had more in me but important to enjoy and not be dead on feet!

You are doing great. Just do exactly what you have been keep it really slow . It is a bit of a mind game . What worked for me was not to think of it as 'I've to run for the next 25 minutes ' . Think of it as what's 25 minutes out of a whole day . It might sound a bit silly but it helped . Good luck😊😊

You are doing great just done 25 min run and was slightly concerned but if you keep it slow and steady you will be amazing.. I always have music on and just sing in my head and its technically only 6-9 songs..so pick ur fave uptempo ones and go for it..

Hi all. Just back to say I've completed it! So pleased. 20 - 25 minutes were a bit of a challenge but I was pleasantly surprised how good I felt, particularly the first 20 minutes. Thanks for all the advice!
