Yesterday I ran 6.6 km as part of a longer 'race' my husband has just worked out that i ran 5km in 29.36! Just shows what running those hills has done for my strength work as yesterday's route was whilst i was visiting my parents and mainly flat! I also didn't struggle at all with my breathing. So all those times I have nearly given up on a hill and kept going...I am now very grateful. Sorry for rambling....just amazed!
5k new PB: Yesterday I ran 6.6 km as part of a... - Couch to 5K
5k new PB
You are so right . I started running hills on wk9 and they've really paid off. Well done on your 5k in under 30 minutes. 😊😊
Excellent and very well done to you for your new 5K PB. Nothing like hills and interval training for improving pace. Great running.

Congratulations on completing your first sub 30 minute 5k run LUHAN, it is a dream for many runners like myself who can run a 5K in the 32/34 time on a regular basis but will never get a sub 30, well done to you. 😊 🏃
It definitely won't be a regular thing...there is no way I can do that on my normal routes. X
They say that anyone running around the 32/34 time for a 5k on a regular basis outside could possibly get a sub 30 minute 5k running on a treadmill inside set at 29 minutes, I have never ran on a treadmill except for my gait analysis.
Lol...I also ran on treadmill for first (and last) time at a running shop. I had to get of because of motion sickness! I was holding on for dear life and turning green!! The things terrify me and I have the greatest respect for anyone who can keep up with them without getting dizzy!!!
That's why some people call a treadmill a DREADMILL, to be honest with you I didn't mind my short run on the treadmill for around two minutes with my new running shoes on the day I got my gait analysis. 😊 Belive it or not, some people have ran a 10k or more on a treadmill. 😊 🏃
Well done on the improvement .. keep up the good work 👍🏻🏃♀️
Great job... congratulations on the PB. This is what I was referring to on your reply to my post... not only are you out of your comfort zone, and running longer... you had the determination to keep going at a fast pace!
