Took me a long time but I’ve finally completed the couch to 5 k program. Today was week 9 run 3 for me following the Apple podcast. I walked 5 mins, ran 36 mins and walked 5 mins. I was trying to make it to the 5 k by the end of my run but I was a little shy. According to the treadmill I made it 2.95 miles. Time for me to figure out what to do to increase my speed next. Thank you for pushing me along as I read your successes and failures. This community made me feel as if I can do it even after every failure I had. Thank you!

Finally Done!
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 9 and graduating on a treadmill, for anyone doing C25K, yes you can do the program on a treadmill as rpp1986
has just done. You don't use the fail word here, you can use the word practice. 😊

Thank you!
Hey well done, massive achievement and especially during the hot summer months when it gets so hard!
Thank you! I had a lot of hiccups trying to run after work at the park in the summer heat. I had to redo a lot of runs because I didn’t meet the goal. I resolved to only running in the park early Saturday morning and running on a treadmill indoors after work during the week. I live in Southern Louisiana, USA so after work 95 deg F would be a cool day!
Very good on running so long, well done!
Sometimes I think those 20min runners are cheating, because they do half the work of others
I still run for 30min in the gym, even if I run further than 5km. Only if you run for 30min or more you actual build up endurance, this is something we told each other about 30 years ago. I guess science went on since then...?
I’m still trying to make it to the 5k while running so I plan on building to that. When I started my fitness journey, I was definitely a 15 min on the elliptical and then move on to the fun weights type of person. Now, I’m consistently 30 mins on a treadmill - never thought I would get there. Now I’m building to trying to get my 30 mins to equal 5k. That’s my goal for the end of this year. I want to do a 5k next year January and run/jog the entire thing in less than 30 mins.
Brilliant! Well done!!
Brilliant. Congrats!
