On Sunday I did my first run of week 2 and I have to admit I found it REALLY tough, running for that extra 30 seconds felt like an eternity however this morning I have just got home from my 2nd run of this week and feel much better about it all. I felt that I was running really slowly however I am happy that I was running and when I got to the end of each 90 second run I didn't feel like I wanted to collapse so I think it was a much better pace.
I never thought I would see the day that I would actually enjoy going for a run, I haven't really ran since I was at school (29 years ago) until I started the C25K last week as whenever I have tried it in the past I have gone once, hated it then gave up. Now I feel such pride in what I am achieving and so determined to see this through that I have started to look for local Parkruns so that once I complete the program I can have something to work towards each week.
Feeling good today

hey Tiggs, well done, every time the time increases it is a killer isnt it? Pace doent matter, concentrate on building up the stamina. You are doing great, love the positivity.
What a great post. I was the same as you, now I get fed up with myself on the rest days because I can't go.
Well done that's great. Loads of us graduates are proof that the plan works and is a solid basis for your fitter running future self. I started nearly a year ago on my 62nd birthday, graduated in January. Now I go to parkrun whenever I can and yesterday evening had a lovely slow 6.5K run! Never thought I'd say that. Stick to the plan, keep it slow and steady, take your rest days and you will continue to amaze yourself!
