Feel so good, did the 2nd run of week2, increased my walking and running page from 5 and 8kph to 5.2 and 8.2kph doesn't sound a lot but makes a difference, and I finished the run.
Started the run not wanting to carry on had an awful night's sleep and just felt grotty. Just as the thought to pack it in crossed my mind, my son came to watch me. In so glad he did, found that little bit extra determination, and my 'my kids won't see me quit' attitude and pushed through, by the time I got to the 3rd running interval, the enjoyment of my last run came flooding back.
Bring on run 3 ..... And a good night's rest please.

So far I've been doing 30 minute walks on my rest days, but woken up feeling tired so might actually 'rest' today, will have to see how the day unfolds.
Same here - in fact mine have been more like 2 x 40 minute walks but it's catching up on me so I'm doing nothing today (exercise wise) until my run at 5.30pm and nothing at all tomorrow in prep for park run number 3 on Saturday.
I tried walking on rest days at first but felt drained. Now I do the NHS Strength and Flex podcasts instead and I find they help both running and overall fitness. Might be worth a browse x
I took my son on my first ever run. I it helped so much because as you there was no way I'd let my son see me give up/fail.
Since then my thoughts are, I did that first run & completed it even though I thought I'd die!
Now I don't look at what each week is, go out there and start, then can't give up until the end. Each 2nd,3rd run I think, I've done it once so I can do it again.
Just bear in mind that speed isn't important at all in C25k. It is all about going as slowly as you need to in order to run for the allotted time. Distance covered doesn't matter either. The target is is one thing only; by week 9 to be able to run for 30 minutes without stopping. Speeding up and covering 5k on a run comes after graduation for, I believe, the majority of people. So take it nice and easy😊.
Completely agree, always do the 1st run of each week at my comfort levels and on run 2 and 3 if I feel comfortable enough push it up a little (but not so much that I cant finish).
Good stuff. This is how I started. Word of advice/warning though!... don't be tempted to keep upping the pace throughout. The increased running time will be a big enough challenge once you've found a pace you're comfortable with. I kept playing about with my speed and ended up failing my very last run!
