So today my darling teenage offspring distured my peaceful slumber at 3.30am......as they do! And, being unable to get back to sleep...tried Horlicks and everything....π I decided at 5.30 to put on my running gear.......then went and produced my fastest, most comfortable 5k ever!!! Shaved a full 2 minutes of my previous pb, I mean, what even??π€£π€£π€£πββοΈ
I'm not sure that only 4 hours sleep(I'm an 8 hour girl) and a big mug of Horlicks is a prescribed method to faster pace, but hey, whatever works for you right?!π€£π€£
Of course, I'll fall asleep at the end of my yoga class tonight during the relaxation......π€

Wow!! Well done you!!! That sound amazing!! I love impromptu runs.
Iβd planned to run my 19k run today. Early night, new running vest with water bladder all ready, shoes, clothes, gels ...all set out, phone, Garmin watch and headphones all charged .....
Been tossing and turning all night and donβt think I managed 2 full hours sleep. Neighbours cat howling under my window ( I super-soakered him), empty plastic bottle from someoneβs recycling rolling up and down the road, next doors gazebo creaking in the wind...... now huddled up in warm dressing gown, with a stiff neck and very dodgy tummy, cuddling a cat..... Iβm postponing that run Iβm afraid.
Hmm maybe I should try going for a run the next time my nocturnal magpie friend who lives outside my window starts warbling at 3am? Rather than just threatening to let the cat outside to get him?
