So on Wednesday and today I have repeated the runs from week 1 to make sure that I’m complaining my full runs from week one
I feel great but I’m not sure if I’m ready to move on to week 2
I will try on Monday week 2 but if unable to complete I will have to keep going until I will eventually complete all runs and if needed I will repeat runs just like I did for week one
Since I have started running I feel more alive I have more energy I love every minute of it
And I have never thought I will ever say that
In pic is my day from my Apple Watch and also my run today
The runs to repeat are the ones you don’t complete, not the ones you do. If you have fully completed week one you are ready for week two. That’s what week one is for. Each week gets you ready for the next one.
Yes I understood that you had repeated the first two but am I right in thinking that you have now done it successfully three times, not counting the two you didn’t complete?
I wasn’t saying you shouldn’t have repeated the incomplete runs. Of course you were right to do that as you hadn’t completed them. I’m saying you don’t need to repeat again NOW if you’ve already completed it three times. That was the question you asked I think? Sorry if I misunderstood.
I have stated that I have repeated the runs and that will be this same with my next week runs
And also even if I will repeat the runs which will be fully completed it will be only to make myself stronger before next again week
As I have said before everyone is different and if I will feel that I have to repeat my runs is only because my body tells me that I’m not ready to move to next week
and I will not be judged for it by anyone
I will keep my pace with training as I know my own body just like everyone else knows their own
I’m sorry, I’m not judging you. You did ask what we thought of it (‘what you guys think of it’ were your exact words) and I answered according to the usual advice in C25k. By all means do it differently if you want but I don’t deserve your aggressive response. You’re reading something into my replies that isn’t there.
I found it aggressive when you accused me of judging you. But never mind, we can let that go and focus on the running 🙂 Honestly, I’m only trying to encourage you. I’m overweight too, and nearly twice your age, so if I can do it so can you. I remember how hard the early runs were: 90 seconds felt like forever.
For me 60 sec feels like forever just now and I just hope that with every run it will be better.
Which it shows me it is as I have managed to fully complete my all 3 runs
I’m staying positive but also realistic when it comes to my ability to run
Every time when I’m getting back home from the run I feel amazing and I just can’t wait for the next time
But it just will take time
My goal is to lose weight and be able to run 🏃♀️
If I would say that I’m confident that I will be able to complete this training plan in 9 weeks then I would be lying to myself
I know it will take much longer then that but one day I will do it

It will get better, I guarantee you! There's a purity to running, a truth, something you can count on, scientific, a FACT. which is rare in life. If you put the time and effort into running you WILL be rewarded. What else can you say that about?

Oops, i'm getting philosophical.. time for bed. 😂🛌
I am thinking to go for my next run today instead of tomorrow because I want to feel this buzz when you get back from the run and you tired but very happy 😃
Hi Kim. Many thanks. Looking forward to being able to go for a run and enjoy it. Haven’t quite got to that point yet as my feet feel like lead still! Hope u managed to go for that run today! 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
I don’t think the calories are excessive, no. Its only an estimate of course. They base it on the time you run for, your heart rate, and other data like age gender and weight if you happened to put that info into your Garmin - if you didn’t they use an average.
Take it at your own speed. I started C25k in April and I repeated weeks, just like you. Now, 4 months later I can run 6.5km, so if I can do this (I weighed 20.5 stone when I started) you can too! There’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing. Take your time if that’s what you want to do. You will know yourself when your ready and confident to move. However, you’ll be surprised what you can do. Good luck and keep going.
I am going to be very polite, why have you made a post that you want no one comment on, you have a right to do what you want to do, sure you do but the forum and the members are here to help you on your journey and likewise be encouraged by it, we share because we care. Every 5k run starts with one stride, week two isn't as bad as you may think, give it a go and tell us if I am wrong, keep going Kim, you are doing fine
If you have read all the comments you should understand what all the comments was about.
In first comment I was told that I do not repeat runs which I complete
I understand the reason why I was told this but as I have said before I know how my body work and if I will want to repeat the run it will be only to make me stronger.
We all do what is best for us based on our abilities
I post on here to be encouraged by people and be inspiration to others
I felt the same. I repeated some weeks. I even went back a few weeks after an illness. You’re right to listen to your body. Do what feels right. Just don’t do what I did and run for longer than the plan if you feel amazing (that’s set me back a few weeks with an injury!)
I’ve completed and done a few 5ks now. And I was overweight and very unfit at the start. It took me closer to 13 weeks to do it. You will get there. If I can do it you can. You could get a medic check if you’re seriously worried. My sports physio advises strengthening exercises as well as running to prevent injury when running. And fob’t forget warm ups before and stretches afterwards. Best of luck. Keep posting. Keep going out there. You can do this.
