It wasn’t a fluke!

I posted a few days ago that I finished the second consolidation run of 5K in under 30 minutes......I thought this must be a fluke, but this morning I ran just under 30 in gale force winds!

I’m really pleased with the progress and can’t praise C25K enough for getting me here. Running is taking over my life!

Yep it does, i’m Nowhere near your time, however, I am just in the after glow of park run 3. I’m improving each week. The people are great. Such a fantastic way to keep heathy. Well done.

Well done.

The recommended route to becoming capable of running faster and further is to NOT try to beat your pb on every run. Running at an easy conversational pace for 75-80% of your time builds stamina and strength, with which you can push for pace on the remainder. Running hard on every run is the sign of a newbie runner.

I can’t run hard or fast which is why I’m amazed that when I get home and check the app to find I’m regularly running 5K in 30 minutes!

Mind you it’s a pretty flat route that I run so that helps enormously. 😉
