If anyone sees my MOJO.............

Hi all, got to wk7r1 which I completed but come to run 2 I only managed 18 minutes (I blamed the heat) since then, which is now over 2 weeks ago I haven't been out since and I am now worried I have completely lost it. Should I go back a few weeks or just try and run as long as I can to try and get to my 25 minutes? Please help I don't want to get to the point that I give up. Plus my work colleagues have asked me to join them in a 5k night run which is 13.09.19, is this too soon? Thank in advance for all your help x

I’d do the latter. Set a 25 minute timer on the phone to stop you and just go for a nice slow run with no expectations. You may not make 25, but then again you may... either way the run you do will get the legs moving again and build fitness and muscle conditioning.

The second bit is difficult to answer until we know where you’re at. In theory there’s enough time, but would it be awful to run 4K of it?

Next time you go out, just aim to beat what you did this time. If you don’t manage the full run, note what you manage and aim to beat that the following time. That way you’re building stamina and allowing your body to readjust; you’ll soon be back in the flow again.

Thanks for the advice, I am going to try and do as much as I can, if I manage it then brilliant if I don't at least I tried and didn't give up.

Exactly ! We’re all different, and that’s why the programme comes with a repeat function. Just remember the First Rule of C25k: The only run you fail is the run you don’t go for ! Have fun out there x

You lose next to no condition in the first two weeks of non running, so pick up where you left off.

Lost mojos can be found by putting your running shoes on and shutting your front door behind you.

Enjoy your run.......... don't worry about it.

No run is wasted, you’ve still ran even if things didn’t go the way you wanted. Keep plugging away and it’ll happen 🏃‍♀️

Just pick up where you left off, slow and steady don’t worry about the time. We all have runs that don’t go according to plan. You haven’t lost your mojo, it’s waiting just outside your front door, in it’s running kit waiting for you to come and play 😀
