Just completed tge 25min run none stop! Very pleased with myself even though it felt like the last 5 minutes were taking me to the limits of human endurance ๐Ÿ˜‚

I can see thst my goal to fo a 5K park run in memory of my son on 24th August is doable but bit worried that Im so slow. I blame it on the fact i have very short legs as well as not thst fit yet but Im averaging about 14m45secs per mile..this means it would take me about 45mins to do a park run! Am I going to look a complete numpty taking that long?

well done you, im a beginner so just on my 1st week, but in my eyes time in not important at the moment, look at what you have achieved, and pat yourself on the back x

Well done, it doesn't matter if you're slow you getting to the end of each run which will get you to the end of your parkrun ๐Ÿ˜Š

Well done BeeLady - definitely not long to go.

As a fellow short legged person I have similar worries about ParkRun but 45 mins seems a pretty good time to me. You can check in the results section of the ParkRun you have your eye on, which gives you all the times for all last week's runners - should be reassuring. For my local run, the slowest time last week was 59:54.

Totally fine for park run. I waited a month or so after graduating because I was worried about being too slow. When I did my first it took me 46 minutes. I wasn't last , just nearly last, but it didn't matter one bit. Everyone was so supportive and encouraging. You will be fine. Lots of people walk bits too so if you want to do that there would be plenty of people doing the same. Good luck!
