Had last week off for my walking holiday and then did wk9r1 after I got back home. Found it tough and had far more gremlins than I was expecting.
Have just done wk9r2, in 24 degree heat (which I was anxious about at the start of the run), on tarmac (when every other run I’ve done has been on grass), and somehow managed just fine. No rhyme nor reason....
Also checked the running mileage, separately to the walking mileage, and it was 5k running on the nose! Now getting excited for the last one in two days time.
Just read a post about re-doing wk1r1 to remind myself how it all started and how far we have all come. Might just do that this week 😊
Off for a GnT now to undo all my good work 🙈

The first run was after a walking holiday and it was a step up... I’d expect that to be a little tough, well done.
The second... well, grass is a little softer and while that lessens the impact, it does sap energy a fair bit more... tarmac almost always means I run a little faster.
Enjoy every step of that graduation run. You’ve nothing to prove, you’ve also done the 5k... relax and treat it as a celebration of all the hard work that got you to that start line.
