Just done wk9r2 on treadmill. Set a very steady pace with legs still stiff from my park run on Saturday, was prepared to not complete but after 10 minutes I knew I could do it. For the last 5 minutes I up the pace a bit then with every minute I up the pace again at 30 minutes I didn’t want to stop so carried on a few more minutes then did my warm down walk after a few minutes then looked and realised I wasn’t far off 5K do set off until 5K done. What a difference from Saturdays run.
I think I set off too fast on Saturday, I went with the first half of the group of runners and ran out stamina .
Really enjoyed this morning run , particularly after Saturday when I was a bit deflated after finding the run difficult
PS 7 minutes quicker for 5K today compared to Saturdays run.
PPS it’s my 57th birthday today 🥃

You’re an inspiration; I’m coming up 57 later this month and start week 3 tomorrow. Running is a new challenge for me so it’s great to read your story and spur me on. Tx 👍
Happy Birthday Nemota what a great way to celebrate your birthday, I hope you did so other stuff though, too .. good luck with your last run, I'm timing mine so that I do it on Saturday at my local Park Run .... that reminds me ... must register ...
Thanks. Yes had a day out after that, went to Hornsea and then to Beverley where we eat at a Brazilian restaurant, which was lovely. Now sat at home having a few brandy’s to finish off.
Thanks Nemota I love Hornsea, Withernsea too, spend a lot of time there as a youngster, not so much in Beverley though .... I do like a Brazillian ... lol
We go to Fazenda in Leeds .... Enjoy your Brandy, Nice ....
