New shoes bought

So, this is getting serious now! W5R2 completed today and fresh from the finish I accepted that a) I’m really enjoying this and b) new footwear is in order - (I’ve been ‘jogging-on’ in a pair of very old, very worn out Sketchers.). I’m now the proud owner of a spanking new pair of running shoes. Who’d have thought it, eh? I hope to do them justice.

Thanks, Buddy34. I woke up early this morning and popped ‘em on. W5R3 due tomorrow and I want to be absolutely certain the new footwear is not going to rub or pinch first time out. I am coming to the conclusion that this journey is not just a physical challenge but it’s a mental one too. “It’s all in yer ‘ead, Mr Tweedy...” (Chicken Run quote!)

Exactly it's as much a mental battle as it is physical. If fitted properly your new shoes will be fine . I got new ones last week wore them twice and they're great . Good luck

Enjoy those new kicks... sounds like it’ll feel like you’re running on clouds if your others were so old. Have a great run.
