A hot week 7 done

Another week, another 3 runs done :) Got to admit this week was tough with the heat. I struggled with the motivation to leave the house for a run, and there were several times on my runs that I had to quieten the voices in my head that said I couldn’t do it by telling myself to just keep putting one foot in front of the other. But I did it and totally love the feeling once a run is complete. Can’t actually believe how far I’ve come in 7 weeks - graduation is in my sight!!

I’m at exactly the same stage as you. If we can do 25 mins in this weather, just think how much easier it should be when it’s cooler...roll on Autumn!

Well done we are one run behind you so will chase you to the end

Well done. I’m at this stage as well and on run 1 I also had the voices telling me to stop. However, like you, I carried on and I noticed yesterday that I actually did my fastest time.

It’s amazing how far you can come in what feels like the blink of an eye. Keep going, you’re so close now and hopefully next week will be cooler.

It has been a flaming hot week and we should be so proud to have got through and completed runs. Massive well done on owning W7 👍

Huge well done... take it gently and do remember to up some of your rest day strength and stamina work on some of your rest days:)

These longer runs are made for slow relaxed running... start slow, stay slow....let the newly forming running legs find their happy pace:)

I'm at the same point as you. I struggled to motivate myself on run 2 and run 3, had lots of little internal arguments with myself on the runs, I can do this, I can't do this etc, It was just so hot and sweaty. I ran really really slow but managed it. Yey. Hopefully less humid next week.
