Scouted ParkRun course today with my friend and mentor Naomi (sheβs in Ultra Marathon territory) . She has been so supportive of my running. Having only got to 3.17 km previously......accuracy is everything people.... I was a little anxious.
So off we set just after 5 this morning. Walked a bit and ran a lot but did it in 54 minutes. Naomi strolled but made it look like running.
Out of comfort zone... different route...no sunglasses ... no music or Jo Whiley... and not alone!!! But I did it! Was proper chuffed and grinning like an idiot most of the day.
Love this, wishing all you lovely peeps happy running today and over weekend. Iβll be back out Sunday ππ»ββοΈπππ»ββοΈπππ»ββοΈ

Itβs very true. I was worried that I could only run in one way/route etc but it appears I can give it a good go! ππ» As my mentor says itβs all about the effort and if thatβs at the max thatβs all anyone can ask
Inclines and whatβs known as the zig zags that are slopes up and up. But then itβs down and off round the lake and beautiful. The lakes are my usual route, Iβm a lucky one
Sheβs amazing, so generous and truly loving my progress. Iβm going to do a couple more run throughs and then go for it. 2 5ks booked in. Thx so much for your support ππ»
This is awesome, well done guys. Fantastic pic! ππ
Such a nice post! Well done! I was so reluctant try new routes but I had to when I wanted to extend my distance. It was worth it. There is something wonderful about early morning runs isnβt there? And ha ha about distances - I can give you routes ranging from 3-10k with alarming accuracy these days! Happy running xx
Well done. Your ready for parkrun now, donβt delay. Do it next week. Youβll love it.
Iβm just in from a lovely 5K, listed to the Strokes and was loving it. Iβm volunteering at my local parkrun tomorrow as scanner. Looking forward to it.
Thank you. Iβm going to do a couple more consolidations and then Iβm going for it. Something in me really wants to be able to run it all if possible
