Donβt worry. Some runs are like that. Others are good. Totally normal

Hotter today perhaps? Just know as long as you keep at it your fitness will improve, no doubt there will be off days but you'll get there. Drink plenty afterwards & an hour or two before, try to go early morning or late afternoon/early evening - avoid that midday heat phew!
My shin hurts alot. Feels like a day is not enough to recover. Lol. Or I'm just so lazzzyy.
Lazy? Certainly not! You got out there & tried. Could it be lactic acid build up? This will also lessen as you train more. Here's a post from the FAQ that might help also:

Hi ive just finished week 2 and i found running wk1 run 1 on saturday and then having 2 days off to run day 2 on Tuesday and run 3 on thursday helped.. So that u get an extra day off after the the first run of each week to recover from the increase in running.. Enjoy...

Keep going with it. There will be some days that are harder than others but it will be worth it.

Hi ccmissy, well done for getting out there in this heat!
Some good advice above, particularly about staying hydrated. You need at least 2l a day, every day. There's no problem with taking an extra day in-between runs either, you will finish the programme either way π
The other thing to remember is that for the first run, you're excited to start C25K, when the second run comes, your brain can say "hang on a minute. I remember this. It wasn't easy. I don't want to do it." So much of C25K is psychological, your brain has to catch up with what your body can do. But it will. And you'll love it x
That is exactly what I'm thinking. So hard to get out there when all I can think is the pain after the runπ£

Donβt think about it anymore - you did it, it is fine - tell your head to stop telling you about it, it is behind you - next one will be ok too!
That can happen sometimes, donβt be put off! Try and plan your route and get some good runspo tracks to listen to! You can do it!

My second run of every week was always the worst. I don't know why. Sometimes it's your brain playing silly
I did my second run yesterday and am doing my third in the morning. On my second one my legs felt heavier but then today they fell 10 times better than they did on Tuesday after my first run

My 2nd (jog) run today too and I thought the same . Also ankle seems not to be happy either.
Good luck keep going ccmissy

Your body may still be tired from your first run. If you have just started running, the body needs to adapt to the shock of movement. Hang in there. π€©π

ccmissy did you get out today for your run? How did it go?
