Running in the heat or postponing?

Hello

It's going to be 32-37 in London this week and I am really not good with heat. I am starting week 7 which is 25' runs, and I am considering postponing this week to next week until it cools off.

do you think it is a good idea? Am I going to lose the benefits of my training so far?

alternatively i thought I could redo some runs, such as week 4 for example.

any advice warmly received.

Muriel

PS - won't run in the morning :)

If it's really too warm to run morning is the only way as it maybe that bit cooler. Other than that you could try running and take water with you. Good luck 😊

Very wise in NOT running at all in the London area or south-east England until Saturday morning when they say it will be a bit cooler, just in time for the park runs.

I'd leave it, a few days off apparently don't affect our gains. I ran this morning and although the temp was theoretically about 18 the humidity made it awful...and it won't be this cool again for days!

Leave it..two weeks before fitness is lost...do some strength and stamina work inside where it is cool, the runs wait and you will be fine to carry on:).The weather will cool down almost certainly 😉
