First one after 17 run free puppy filled days

So first day of schools hols; 17 mental days at work and a puppy all the time thinking- I’m losing my fitness ( and probably my mind). So today it had to be. Usual running routine at dawn shot to pieces having been up and round the garden for puppy toilet stops since 4:15, flaking on sofa them up again at 6:30 so I’d had breakfast which I never do pre run. I spied my chance about an hour later, enticed into crate with Kong and cream cheese and off I set. Slow, take it slow; aim for 20 mins and see how you go. I managed 25 without dying and it just squeaked under 8 mins per km which is always my goal ,’ must start with a 7! Must start with a 7!’ Can’t say I enjoyed it but didn’t hate it either. Pooch pleased to see me afterwards! Future running buddy me thinks
