A C25K “Masonic” /321 symbol 🤔🤣🏃‍♂️?

Hi All

Having be a C25K-er for about a month now (and proudly so!) I keep wondering if we should have, for the whole 🏃‍♂️ community, a type of quick hand signal that we could use to show all those other 🏃‍♂️ you see out there, who seem to be “proper” ones (all swift of foot and piston legged!) that we are brave, plucky C25K-ers??

It could be a mix of a visual type Masonic “handshake” and for those of you of a certain age, a Ted Rogers 321 thing?! So straight away, as well as their little wave, they’d see us as C25K-ers and break their usually serious, intense faces with an encouraging smile??

🏃‍♂️😐👀🤘✌️🖐🤟 😊🏃‍♂️

Not sure about hand signals, I am never too sure where about 99% of runners do their training for the liking of 5K parkruns and other 5k, 10k or longer distances.

When I look at the "running club" of where the runners on 5K parkruns come from or train, I can count on one hand the combination of several parkruns people from the NHS Couch to 5K 'training school.' The Oldfellow is the only person on the Keswick Parkrun, I am the only person who is on my first parkrun in Dunfermline, I did not see one runner from C25K on the Bushy Park Parkrun results page, there are more than a 1000 people who run in that one, OK, I may have missed a few, if I get to know any people at the parkrun I run in, I will ask them, where did you do your training to run 5K runs?

That’s interesting Al, Parkruns are my primary objective once I’ve graduated plus then picking some good country and coastal routes.

Not sure about Strava, but on Android if you go to the app store and type or tap " One You Couch to 5K" you may get it onto your Smartphone.

Nice thought Dalmorangie - but I have enough trouble trying to run, breathe and speak (occasionally), there’s no way I could try and remember a secret hand signal as well!!

I absolutely love this idea! The only trouble is, people who weren’t C25k-ers would be very confused! 🤣 It would have to be very secret and minimal... could make our right hand into a C as we run, and with our left just hold down our ring finger and little finger, so it’s C2 - then maybe nobody would notice if they weren’t part of the secret club 🤣
