What could be better than celebrating my first day of retirement with a happy run! 😃 Sun, warm breeze, birdsong-marvellous!

Congratulations on the retirement. I took early retirement/redundancy in 2017 and now I've taken up running love the free time I have for plodding along. Enjoy every minute 😀

Congratulations on your retirement Elfe5👏👏. I retired two months ago now (I’m 61) it’s a great feeling isn’t it ?

However my running has been a bit slack of late....well a week to be precise. I can’t stand running in the heat and getting up at early o clock I can’t do. Hubby and I always like a nice cuppa in bed at about 6.00 and I cannot drag my body out that early enough hee! hee!

However I might give it a go today!

I am not a morning person at all, but tried an early morning run and was pleasantly surprised that I could “ semi- sleep run” quite happily and then felt great for the rest of the day. It was worth the effort - sun, bird song, cooler air & that wonderful “fresh new day “ feel.

After your 6.00am cuppa sounds perfect! 😃
