I did it! Week five, run 3, twenty, yes TWENTY! Minutes! Me! I did that! I've been dreading it for the last fortnight, but I did it. πππππ»
Found a beautiful new route, too... Perfect weather for a run...cool and very slightly drizzly, but leaves still crisp, birds singing, trees beautiful..... Went too far and had a long walk home but can't believe I just did that. And I saw a deer! (Muntjac, they are tiny). Just brilliant. I feel brilliant...π

Well done - isn't that feeling just the best? You can do this, you're more than half way through the programme now. I love seeing the wildlife on my runs too, it just makes it more special
Yes, the programme is truly amazing, isn't it! I think that was the run when I felt I was going to make it to week 9. That and all the support from these super forumeers. Did I just make that word up? My tablet tried to correct it to 'founders' π
I like forumeers ....and my spellcheck wants to say formers.... Former couch potatoes maybe?!
Anyway I know now I can get to week nine.I appreciate it might be hard (today, while wildly amazing, was still hard work!) But I feel inside I will get there, which I didn't really believe till now.
Keep having "twenty minutes!" popping into my head, too, which is funny... I'm just sitting here grinning ear to ear!
Pat on the back for you! It's a fantastic feeling isn't it? Enjoy feeling on top of the world. You should just about be able to make out a glint of gold in the far distance now. You are over halfway
You feel brilliant because you ARE brilliant and you can run for 20 mins non stop !
Well done! You are quite right to feel brilliant as it's a great achievement. Now you know you can do this!
One word of warning about week 6 though. It nearly caught me out (and a few others on here!) as you believe that once you've completed 20 minutes non-stop week 6 is going to be a doddle. Well it isn't, so please make sure you continue to go nice and slow, because if you don't, you may get to that point where you need to stop, and then you'll feel terrible. So, approach week 6 the same as you did for the first few weeks and you will cruise through without too much trouble.
