20 minutes we will never regret

When we started this programme I had blisters from psoriasis on both feet and my partner had a dodgy left knee. A new pair of running trainers sorted his knee out but my psoriasis flared and the most I walked was from bed to bathroom for ages, it felt like walking on glass. We restarted with padding and bandages on my feet and progressed slowly,

Today I had a crap day at work and came home tired and grumpy. Habits are hard to break and off we went.

We have just run 20 minutes and are so proud of ourselves πŸ˜€

Looking at our stats on fitbit our first mile at 15 min 32 seconds was fastest although felt slower

There were dogs to say hello to and a couple of children on bikes also someone flying a model aeroplane as well as the most gross pong coming from a nearby sewage treatment plant which happens when the wind is in the wrong direction. The 20 minutes wasn’t too bad and we still can’t believe we were able to do that

Congratulations to you and your partner on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran, nice run for you today apart from passing the sewage treatment plant.

We love slow too but interestingly we are faster than the first week when I could hardly breath and Colin ended every one minute run bent double gasping so have come a long way and my waist goes in a bit at the sides

They are so nearly normal now although the tablets are a bit of a trial at times but smooth pain free feet and hands is worth a lot without use of hands and feet moving is a nightmare
