Ooh thanks for the reminder. She came and filmed at Bushy parkrun for it a few weeks ago so I’ll have to see if I can spot myself amongst the other 1400 runners 🏃🏼‍♀️

I have already noted that program in my diary, I certainly won't miss it, that is some turnout, 1400 for a parkrun, more like some event run, the parkrun I was at yesterday had just over 200 runners.

Yes Bushy is always a huge turnout - had 2011 runners last Christmas Day!!! Think it’s because it is the original venue so gets lots of visitors. It has its 800th event coming up soon so am sure that’ll draw large numbers!

Probably about 8000 will attend it's 800th event, the runners will come from all over the UK and beyond.

I want to get to Bushy Park for a Parkrun but the crowding will give me anxiety, I will have to suck it up like a buttercup!

My local has around 200 every week, I don’t know how I would cope with a crowded Parkrun!

It’s actually really ok! It’s a really wide start so although it’s busy for the first 4 or 5 mins or so, it soon spreads out and you end up running in your own space and you’re not aware of those ahead/behind you.

That’s kind of what happens at my local which has approx 200 people. I’m going to give Bushy Park a go for sure, maybe save that for Autumn.
