Decided to do my 20 min run on the disused railway line (now a proper tarmac path no πππ) as it's shady.
Lots of other runners, dog walkers etc enjoying the warm evening. Approaching a lady from behind, guess I'm about 20 ft away when she looks over her shoulder at me. I jokingly said "is it my heavy breathing that gave me away?" "No" she replies "i'm hard of hearing but I could feel the vibrations from your running" π³ guess I'm not kissing the pavement with my twinkle toes more ππππ herd to elephants π¬
Slight problem in that legs refused to obey brain signals to slow down. My 2nd km was a minute faster than first and was still getting faster at the end of the run. So maybe stampeding elephant is more appropriate π€ π
Maybe the new shoes really do make you go faster π€π€π€ need to rediscover my inner snail ππ before Thursday!
Happy running folks xxx
Ps seems I can't do a quick post π€¦ββοΈ

Donβt worry about the vibrations... she obviously has heightened senses (or was having a laugh) what matters the most is how the run felt. If you hadnβt have known your pace would it have felt wrong? I only check my watch these days on my long run... some other runs are faster than others, but at the same effort level. While my plans give me a target pace, itβs really all about effort levels.
Tbh effort level was just in the uncomfortable zone. It's like my legs said ok Tuesday is 15 min day, let's go! Trouble is they hadn't read the plan was 20mins π
My app tells me my current pace every 250m (too ensure I don't go too fast!) but I thought it was wrong as I was under tree coverage and it sometimes tells me random sh#t but NRC app agreed so must be right. I was pleased with the run. Can't believe I can actually run that fast!
Oh and definitely taking the heighten senses thing. That absolutely must be the answer ππ
My legs do that too! Itβs good to know it happens to other people too. And definitely go with the heightened senses, it absolutely makes sense. Enjoy the rest of Week 4!
