Did you take the high road or the low road? (do you know the song?)

Last year I took the high road when I ran run 3 of week 4, that was a route in a nearby country park, today I walked along the low road, which is a path, not a road along the side of the loch to a romantic placed name called the Fairy Glen, yes I know the song, it's about two people who may not meet again, it was first published in 1841, according to Wikipedia the high road is between Edinburgh and London, that's the road taken by the lover of a Jacobite, while the relatives of the rebels walked along the low road.

Another interpretation is where I was today, I mentioned the Fairy Glen, the fairies or little people were reputed to transport the soul of a dead Scot back to Scotland.

There are a few more versions, you can look them up on Wikipedia.

Hope you like the photo.

Great place to run! Iam also blessed with great scenery on my runs too. I live in the Peak District. 😊

Indeed AliHC, Unfitnomore lives around that district as well, perhaps one day you might meet him at a parkrun.
