Consolidation Run 1

I completed week 9 on Friday - whoop whoop- and was all set to move on to the next series of podcasts... so glad I was advised to consolidate first as, having had a quick listen to the C25K plus, I think I might have given up at the warm up walk! Comforting though it was to hear Laura’s familiar tones, the thought of having to pound along to a driving tempo was beyond me. I ran 4km in 30 minutes this morning and am well chuffed with that. I mean to continue running 3 times a week using the week 9 podcasts to give me a bit of structure - what are other recent graduates doing?

Hi, I'm in the same boat and I keep repeating the final run just running a bit longer if I can. Where do you access ck25 plus?

I googled what’s next after C25K! It seemed like a leap too far for me until I am comfortably running 5k in 30 minutes or thereabouts- I still have a bit to go to get there. Happy running 🙂

I'm not using the podcasts or the app, but I'm repeating week 9. I plan to do it for 3 weeks, as I'm going on holidays the week after, and then I will start changing my plan, I still don't know if I will focus on 5k or try to go up to 10k, or both, I'll decide when I finish the consolidation.

I’ve just started my 3rd consolidation week.

1st week was 3 x 30 mins

2nd was 1 x 30mins 1 x 20 mins but faster and 1 x 35 mins in which I managed 4.5K.

This week will be pretty much the same but trying to increase the distance on one run and a shorter faster run on another and a slowish 30min.

My goal is to get to 5K then try to increase distance maybe using Ju Ju’s plan of Bridge to 10K (but not till I’m ready)

Don’t push yourself too hard to quickly, we are still very new runners. There is no race to get you to the next level. Just enjoy it. Good luck 😊
