Whoop that’s run 1 week 1 completed! Got up at 5.30am, birds were singing, mist was rising from the meadow, the sun was coming up over the houses and all was ok with the world. The Cranberries in my ears and off I went. The half an hour flew by. Feel amazing 😊💪🏻💕

Best start to the day... very well done you.... On you go!!!
Many thanks. I’m really excited to keep going. Bit worried about when the Winter comes though. Think I’ll be too scared to run in the dark. My village is not well lit 😬 and I will be at work in the daylight hours 😒 I can still do it at the weekends but would like to do something during the week too. 🤔
It is fun to run in the dark! A good head torch or chest light will help 😊
Its great..in Winter..magical..I graduated..the week before Christmas, running all around the dark lanes and my village. Wet, wild and windy..and starlit, sparking frosty mornings too!
Usually you are the only one to enjoy the magic!!
Ok you’re selling it to me 😊
It is truly awesome!
This was my Graduation post... in the distant days... when I was still an unsure newbie x

Wow that is an amazing post!! You should be a writer!
Or are you one already? Very well written, very descriptive and lovely. Made me feel all Christmassy 😊
Thanks.. I run and ramble, although sadly since I became an Admin... I don't have the time to ramble.. I used to have..but I have a written diary account of every run I have done since 2015...
Folk on here who know me are used to my long rambles... and talking of that... I do feel another one is due
There can be reallly great runs in the colder and darker months, although I do recall a very wet run, in an incident with a white van man who seemed determined to drown me! x
Oh my!! 😳😠😅 poor you. That happened to my son once when he was only six or seven. He was cycling on the path and a car drove straight through an enormous puddle, he was hit by an enormous wave of water and cried. Bless him.
Ah your diary sounds lovely.
I’m so pleased to have started the C25K and to have joined in this support group. Everyone is soooo lovely. Nice to get advice from the ones that have been though it such as yourself and to read posts from other newbies going through the same issues. Love it. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for me. Never ever in my wildest dreams did I think I would be a runner, let alone starting at 44!!
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Enjoy your journey.
Wow, that is early - well done 😀
I'm an early morning runner too, it's only the last week that's it's been daylight when I set off at 5.20! It's a lovely time to run though, so peaceful.. This week I've seen lots of little fat fluffy fledglings out at dawn with their mums feeding, would miss all that if I was still in bed! Enjoy your runs
Sounds idyllic!
