Smashed it as they say. 28th June the day after I completed day 1 week 9 I suffereda lower back seizure which lead to my back locking up for 8 days and me being unable to walk for 6 of those without the aide of crutches and up to 20mg of diazepam a day and a truck load of paracetamol. Friday this week I turned a corner. My back unlocked. Saturday I decided to attempt day 2. I did it. My fitness hadn't dropped at all. Today I decided to go for day 3. Did the run in reverse so it was more challenging and I did it!! I covered 4k running and 5.1k in total :I cried tears of joy when Jo Whiley told me I was done. Oh and if you're looking for a song to lift your pace when you're flagging I can strongly recommend the Joboxers and Boxerbeat - worked for me and I'm sure that's why I was able to get up the incline without quitting.
Now to plan my next move of cracking the 5k run in around 35 minutes....
Congratulations, Martianchild, well done you! π₯ π π π π₯ Great news about your back unlocking - do you know what caused it to lock up in the first place? Hope you have no more trouble with it, just lots of lovely post graduation runs. Don't forget to claim your graduate badge!
