Ok, I set off this morning to complete this session, but it just wasn't happening in the way Michael wanted it to! I have discovered inclines are my nemesis and I just can't run up an incline at all. In the end I finished my date with Michael and just walked and ran when I felt able to. I was still out for an hour and did 3.4 miles, but didn't keep to the programme. What can I do?

Morning angie - for now, I would concentrate on completing runs rather than the distance run - you can work on that once you can run for 30 minutes. Plus, is there anywhere you can run where there aren’t so many inclines? Or, if not, could you break it down a bit? Eg, find your incline, run up it (slowly, remember!) a short way then go back down . Do that for a few times, then go a bit further and repeat. Or you could just say “sod it; I’m only running slowly so I can get up here”!!. Good luck!

Thank you. I think that is a good idea. I am not thinking about distance, I am just trying 😆. I go from the house and it is all inclines but I could go up and down one bit. X

Hi Angie I have an inclined ramp on my run. Can't run up it, but walking up it has me panting just like I'm running. So I count it in with the running. I think the programme assumes we're running on the flat sometimes! Hope you find a solution. Me: finished wk 4 yay!

Blimey, I went out of my way to run on flat routes - I got in the car and drove to flat places! I find slopes REALLY hard and I avoid them. Who needs to feel crap when we are achieving? I think you are trying to run before you can walk (!). Be kind to yourself - you may decide not to do hills ever and that’s ok. I have also run back and forth to stay on flats since graduating. Don’t want to put myself off, want to keep it up! How ere the new trainers??

Thank you! Well the trainers were lovely but didn't help me today lol. Not their fault at all. But very comfortable and I enjoyed them 🎉💕

Good! I am the slowest runner and my friend who started a few weeks after me is 2 minutes faster than I am every km and I am just running on. She is lovely and has lost loads of weight and is looking fab. I am way behind her altogether and it gets a bit old trying not to be bothered but I am older and bigger and still going, so....🤗. You will have a better run tomorrow xx
