Little bit technical, read: tree roots, the bank of a stream (slip and you’re ankle deep in water), some short sharp downhill bits between paths and a couple of sharp uphills, just for fun.

We started at 7am, so it wasn’t too hot at all, so most of breaks were walking breaks, rather than all out stops.

I must be getting fitter as I ran up each of the sharpest uphill sections (they aren’t too long) in one go. The ultimate test will be whether I can still do it when they’re wet and slippery.

What made it really interesting was the Beagle deciding she’d rather trot along at my side than run out in front, so I had to run a lot of it holding her bungee line up, or risking tripping over it 🤣
