I have just ‘graduated’ C25K and only managed around 3.8k over the 30 minute period. In - weeks time I am running a 5 k. Any thoughts on how I should approach this ?

Congratulations on completing C25K with week 9 run 3 and graduating, well done.
To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the July healthunlocked C25K home page and tell the administrators that you have ran W9R3 of C25K and graduated 🎓 🏃
Enjoy your first 5k next week, just run it at your own comfortable pace. 😊 🏃 🎓

You will be surprised when your running in a large group. A crowd can really pull you along. Important not to get caught out by starting too fast. Just run at your nice relaxed pace, if you need to take a walking break or two don’t worry. You could try a Parkrun on Saturday morning. It would be a good practice run for you and is just 5K.

I think you’ll be helped along by the buzz of the crowd. But pace yourself. I’m a very slow runner - but then I run doing the Japanese slow jogging technique - here’s a short film showing how it’s done m.youtube.com/watch?v=9L2b2...
So if you find yourself struggling just go nice & slow and you’ll get there. Good luck!!
Now that is interesting. I will give it a go. To be honest, I think that’s about the speed I am doing now. Thanks
