Week 9 - 5k

Laura has constantly said 'you can do it' I have constantly thought 'no I can't'. But fair play to the Lovely Laura (this is not what I usually prefix her name with) today on week 9 run 1 I ran for a full 5km and not a Gremlin in earshot. I did a little joyous leap, yelled 'YES' and arm pump as I passed the finish post (local parkrun route). This is why I don't usually run in public. Someone is bound to have me sectioned! I am sooooooo pleased. Fantastic feeling & in case you didn't pick up on the fact. I RAN 5K!!!!!!!! 9 weeks ago I could hardly run up the stairs. Manic grin in place for the foreseeable future :-)

Thank you Peter. I'm buzzing. I hope your knee is better soon and you can get back out there.

Thanks. So do I. I'm really missing it. Should have been saying bye-bye to week 3 tomorrow.

Plenty of inspiration on here for when I am up and running again.

The forum is fab, it's got me out several times when I didn't really feel like going. Take care.

Hope you won't need your solemn face for a while 'cos I imagine that grin will take some shifting! Brilliant to achieve 5k and definitely worth some vocal/arm action :)
