Well, I honestly though 9 weeks ago I would not make today!! Totally exhilarating experience and I suppose I am a runner now haha but I do laugh at that! I so look forward to seeing how far I can go from here!

I am new to here! Just found it today!

To everyone on their own personal running achievements, good luck and keep going! It’s amazing and if I can achieve this one month of being 48 and never having ran before, you can too!!

What now?!? Looking for ideas on how to move forward please, thank you.

Well done! I will be running my graduation run on Friday. Literally can’t believe I am doing this at almost 46. Like you I’ve never ran before. Be proud of yourself, we are amazing!

Awh, thank you! Well done on your huge achievement too! It’s amazing! You will get such a buzz on Friday! Yes, we are amazing and we can call ourselves runners now haha that seems so strange, my friend called me a runner and I laughed so much, but she said believe it, you have done all the hard work! Looking forward to congratulating you on Friday

Its a good idea to consolidate your 30 minutes of running for a few weeks, while you gain strength and stamina before increasing your distance/time.

Happy running and keep posting now you are here! 😊

Hi, I see you have completed the c25k plan with your children and are interested in maybe purchasing c25k badges for them.

The actual badges are available from here... they are Β£6 I believe.

healthunlocked.com/couchto5.......

You will be able to have a virtual badge next to your name on here, and can download the certificate to print.

😊x

I just want to be able to post this in a year. Well done.. for me the next steps would be enhancing the diet. Been studying micogreens and they seem very beneficial, growed quiet a few and they are also tastey, perhaps a sideline?

Hi Blackcat66,

Thank you so much! Well! How is week 8!! Bet you have smashed it!

Do you know running without the app was so funny to start with, lol just like driving on your own after passing your driving test haha now the hard work begins x

Last run of week 8 tonight after work. I can't imagine running without the guidance of the programme. Are you enjoying you post graduation runs?

Sandbetweentoes profile image
SandbetweentoesGraduate in reply to Blackcat66

I found it strange to be honest because that little voice from the app helps motivate you, however I must say today I found the little was me saying to myself you can do this and my goodness I just did 5k in the pouring rain and all personal best times 34.47 for my 5k (first 5k without the munchkins)

It’s amazing! You believe in yourself after the C25k and it just gets better! I keep thinking about my first run ten weeks ago and I thought I was going to die and look what I achieved today!!! Believe and it comes true!!! Enjoy your run tonight and you will be exhibited at the thought of week nine and your last runs! Go for it! You can do this!! Enjoy xx

Fantastic! Well done you, a great time and in the rain too. Definitely confirms you are a real runner. Sounds like you have got whst I am hoping to find- a real pleasure in running! Enjoy that lovely feeling. I am strangely looking forward to my run. I've had 2 rest days due to circumstances so will be glad to get out. I can - with effort - manage 3.5km in 28 minutes so I will try slowing down to see if it.makes it any easier to complete. My goal will have to be 30 mins, not 5k, but I'm still amazed by what I can do. You're right that C25K gives you a confidence in what your body can do. I love that feeling too!
