Here in the sun and heat, hotter than falling into a vat in a Tabasco factory ๐ฅ๐โโ๏ธ. Following advice from the forum went out Monday at 7am in 27C, managed only 20 minutes, felt like running through treacle, (not that I've ever done that actually), but how I imagine it. The Dog Child wasn't much better so, good and dutiful mother that I am, I only inwardly felt relieved ๐. Hip is still sore so decided to try a treadmill to see if it helped today. At midday like the proverbial mad dog this English woman went into the air conditioned gym, because I am more sensible than many of the male of the species. Tough running but managed 30mins, although according to the milometer I only managed 1.64k. โน๏ธ Feeling a bit down now as at home I managed just under 4k in 33mins and was beginning to think I might get to 5k in a couple of months. At least when I get back home I'll won't have to use AA route finder to calculate the distance as the DC bought a smart watch with GPS at Gatwick. Nootinator is still going and finishes Wk2 tomorrow, she's out early like her sister, just aging parent can't cope with the heat ๐๐โโ๏ธneed to keep fluids up, and before you wonder that has included water as well as the Prosecco. Happy running

Well done getting both out there and in there on your holiday. Donโt worry about changes in pace or even that the outdoor run was short, itโs all great warm weather training and will really help you when you get home.
Happy running and ๐ฅ

where are you in Sicily? I lived there for 2 years with my ex (he is Sicilian).
it can get incredibly hot there, so be careful!
Thanks for that will do. We're near Ragusa at the Kamarina Club Med. Paying homage to the good Inspector Montalbano. Going to Etna on Friday,... or not if she follows her sister that's just erupted according to the DC's watch, by the way, news post, I don't think it has a seismic monitor function ๐

Donโt beat yourself up! Itโs very hard in heat and when I have run then, Iโve been way slower and on much shorter runs. You are doing great. If you have an ache, rest it and maybe have a cooling drink ...
