I’d like to be able to easily track my runs on Strava and have heart rate etc. At the moment I’m faffing about with my phone and getting in a pickle. But I can’t afford to go bonkers money wise. Is there a watch style piece of kit that won’t break the bank?

The Garmin Forerunner 35 is just under £100 and does all you need. There’s also some bargains to be had on the preloved sites and if you go for A grade used you’re effectively getting a brand new device.

I'm very happy with my fitbit alta hr which tracks heart rate and does all sorts of other things too.

I’d go for a Garmin Forerunner 35. Beautiful watch and won’t break the bank. Will automatically upload to Strava on your phone, has heart rate and will do everything you need. I have a Garmin Forerunner 15 and love it. But it does not wirelessly connect to Strava or Garmin connect, and it does not have heart rate data. If I was to upgrade and when I do upgrade it would be to a 35.
