1st week

Well just completed my 1st week, struggled on 2nd run as I have asthma and it was very damp drizzly weather. I have been dieting doing it at home myself and lost 27 and 3 quarter pounds in 20 weeks. So I thought I would introduce some exercise and I have never ran before and still have 33 pounds to my goal. Well weighed myself today and I have never gained in my 20 weeks and I have put 1 and 3 quarter pounds on so gutted. Anyone out there know if this will be normal as it's not as though I don't do walking anyway just added the c25k in this last week.

Thank you, wasn't sure if it was water retention as my left knee has swollen badly and very painful. Shall keep going see how it goes 😊

Look after that left knee, I had knee pain for years and insoles got rid of it completely so might be worth looking at what you are running in when we started my partner was hobbling so i dragged him off to buy good supportive trainers and insoles and his knee is fine now, i’m a bit of a know all when it comes to knees but only because i thought for years i had arthritis and it turned out I just needed supportive insoles

I hope yours doesn’t stop you carrying on

Sounds like you need to get that looked at.

It could be a blip, weight does fluctuate and can be affected by little things like time of day, whether you have eaten, even whether you have been to the toilet! Also, muscle weighs more than fat so you might be slimming down and toning up through running without seeing much difference on the scales.

Not what you're looking for?
