Week 3 Run 2

Happy Fathers Day - I have been blessed with picking some good morning weather for my runs 🤞🏻that continues.

I found this session much easier than Week 3 Run 1 which just goes to prove the stamina is gently improving. I am watching what I eat now and that is paying off too. The “buzz” you get afterwards is so rewarding and that knowing I get that I will get that feeling helps overcome that little voice saying “give up” or “why don’t you just walk”.

Any tips on good foods that help running but does pile on the pounds as I am trying to manage my weight too ?

it's nice when you can feel stamina, breathing, etc. improving isn't it?

only 1 more run to go on week 3, well done

Yes - I am not even noticing my breathing as much and my body felt more relaxed when running today too. Thank you so much for your lovely encouragement it really helps - enjoy your day 😊

Happy Father's Day to you CAFC62, glad you found run 2 better than run 1 of week 3, Week 3 of C25K is the week that I started rerunning C25K after a few months off, I now have rerun all the runs, I have also done the Stepping Stones Podcasts and this morning just after 9 o'clock intend to run a 5K near to where I live, the course is 98% off-road.

Thank you CAFC62, not before time for me, I intend to run my first Parkrun next month, 13 months after I graduated, I'll add that on to my profile once I run it.

👍 🏃 Looking forward to my first parkrun, I ran one lap of it on Friday, there are 3 small hills on it. 😊 🏃

That’s my target too - my friends do it every week and I want something to get out of bed early every Saturday morning for 👍🏻. You will do it Alan and more importantly enjoy it 😊
