My first 5k

Not really at 5 k stage yet as in week 6 but did race for life this morning. Just when you start to feel tired you read about people others are running for written on their backs or their own stories and it spurs you on, so moving. It's not really about the speed etc but there is a clock. I did a mixture of running and walking and had to slow right down on slippy down hill sections. Took about 37 mins. I look forward to running a whole 5 k now.
