Hi everyone, I'm looking to find an app that would create 5k routes in my neighborhood. Any advice? Thanks!

You can do it on Strava but only from the computer. Map my run can suggest nearby routes based on what others have done as well.

Yeah you can do it in the website and then see it on the phone app. 😊

You can draw route lines on Google maps and it measures the distance. I found this very helpful.

You can right click on the map and start drawing lines. It’s very precise so you can add a metre, here lose a metre there and work out a route that Is right for you.

There is also onthegomap.com

You can change the setting to on foot and it will show you elevation and stuff too. PC though, not sure how it works on mobile.

Strava is really good. There is an app but you can only create routes on the computer. You mark your starting point and then add points along the road to create your route and it adds up the distance and elevation gain at the bottom of the screen. You can add and subtract sections until you find the length of route thatyou want.

I use Strava as suggested and also mapometer. Both on a pc . You can use mapometer on your phone but the tiny screen makes it tricky.

The good thing about Strava is if you "use route" in the app when you set off, it also tracks you so you can have a quick check if you think you might be lost. Not too much of an issue on a 5k route but useful on long bike rides if you do them as well.
