I’m about to do run 3 of week 5 and I’m so nervous! Going from two 8 minute runs all the way up to one 20 minute run seems like a crazy leap!

Any advice? How did you all manage?

YOU WILL BE FINE!!! 😀 I felt exactly the same way.... YOU CAN DO IT!!

I think this was the the one where I burst into tears at the side of the road at the end of the 20 minutes, from total elation!!

Believe in yourself, you’ve got this!

Slow down a fraction - get some pumping tunes on your earphone - and just keep scanning yourself to think I am still breathing, there is no acute pain, week 1 was worse and I lived. You can do this - you’ll amaze yourself!

16 minutes to 20 minutes is not a crazy leap :) The difference is that there is no walking break but again, you’ve gone from three walking breaks only a week ago, to two in W5R1 and then one in R2. The number 20 makes it look an abrupt change but if you look at it as running for 15-20 minutes while gradually reducing the amount of walking over two weeks it’s actually a natural progression. Many thousands of runners have done this before you: if it was a mistake it would have been fixed long ago. Slow down if you need to and you’ll be fine.

I completed this run yesterday and was as apprehensive as you. Take it slowly and you will do it, your body has trained for this! Good luck 😉

Relax, read this healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and think what is the worst thing that can happen.

Repeating a run, if necessary, just makes you stronger, so what is there to worry about.

You can do this.

Well done!! I thought the same as you last week but I did it and it felt so good. Welcome to week 6 :) I've just completed week 6 today. It's amazing how far we have all come in such a short space of time too. Week 6 is good - challenging but good. You've got this 💪💪🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Just do it, today I did W6R3 25 minutes, never run in all my life and I did it :-) and I am 55yo and overweight. So do not go too fast and do it, and drink some water before running. 👍🏃‍♂️

Good luck with week 7, I’ll be starting either Tuesday or Wednesday. Well done on your progress as well!

I’m also overweight so never thought this was achievable, it’s amazing what we can do!
