I did it!

I actually finished the program Monday. I'm so glad I did it. I'm 49 and thought I would never be able to run 30 minutes straigh. Even my 15 years old daugther started to run when she saw that I can.

If any one doubt they can do it, I would recommend to give it a try. The program is well made.

I thought I have an elevated heart rate and it scared me to run. The program gave me confidence. I now know that I have a high heart rate while exercising, which is normal for a lot of people.

Since I'm done with the C25K program, I will now work on my cardio more often.

I've made myself a graduation gift, à running watch. It's now time to use it :-)

I started my journey today and my 15 year old son joined with me to give me support and encouragement. He doesn’t need the programme himself being the fittie he is so I value his support. I want to lose weight and improve my bp, which is high and controlled with meds 😕

Well done on your achievement!

This is so gratifying to run with our kid.

Enjoy every moment.

Congratulations! What’s next when you’ve finished deservedly basking in the warm glow of success?

If you haven’t already started going, I’d recommend parkrun as an excellent part of consolidating over 5km. Highly addictive and a good way of meeting fellow local runners.

Well done you! As a fellow 49 year old I have nothing but admiration for you. I'm half way through week 6 and still don't feel like a runner but I'm hoping to get there. My resting heart rate (according to my Fitbit) has already decreased which is encouraging me to keep going!

You should feel like a runner! Don't you run? Then to me you are one. The pace, the time you run doesn't matter. As long as you run you're a runner.

Not what you're looking for?
