After breaking my toe 2 months ago, I started the programme again this morning, from scratch ! It feels so good to be running again (albeit back to baby steps) but I did notice that I found the first run today so much easier than first time round which suggests that even after 8 inactive weeks, there are still some residual benefits.

Thanks to everyone for all their kind comments and it's great to be part of this positive, encouraging community one again :)

Welcome back. Fitness certainly leaves us slower than we can regain it, which is fortunate as it took me 30 years to maximise my unfitness levels 🤣. Happy running.

That’s my little reminder to myself that there will be no more couch days, I’m not going back

Well done getting back out there. My last run was six weeks ago due to me twisting my ankle. I was a bit nervous when i went out this afternoon, i only did a short one, i felt like i could do more but didn't want to push my luck. Here's to injury free running.
