Well I’ve just ran W8R3 and I have totally smashed my running again I got even further than last 2 runs. It started with the wind then it started to spit then total down pour and mostly heavy rain all the rest of the run when I finished there wasn’t a dry bit of clothing on me I was totally drenched but I loved every moment of my run 3 more runs and I’ve graduated 😉😉🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️

That's a great run you had Kev, it's sunny Manchester you live in, not long now until you graduate, onwards and upwards. Running on the same course tells you exactly where you finish, so today you got further than runs 1 and 2 of the 28 minutes of week 8.

Thanks Alan and my endurance is really good now I’m going up hills more easier than before so I know it’s worked for me once I’ve graduated I’m going to do a parkrun and then train for a 10k thanks for all your support over my journey you have really spurred me on and it means a lot thank you 🙏😉

Thank you very much Kev for your complements to me.

I'll tell you what runs I have been doing today, this morning as part of the Stepping stones podcasts with Laura I ran with my Smartphone in my hand*, this run lasts 16 minutes, it consists of 155 steps a minute for 5 minutes, 6/1 minute runs of 165 steps a minute, 5/1 minute runs of 150 steps a minute, it went OK.

On Tuesday I will be doing the Stamina+5K podcast, that will be the longest run I have done this year so far, that run lasts 35 minutes and is more or less a 5K, it consists of 10 minutes of running at 158 steps a minute, then 20 minutes of 160 and finally 5 minutes of running at 165 steps a minute, so that's a run I can "look forward" to.

* I have a connection problem between the phone and my headphones, I am going to the shop I bought the phone to see what the problem is, the phone is OK, the headphones are OK too as they work fine on everything else, so there must be something wrong with the connection to the phone.

You’re very welcome Alan 😉 that looks a good plan 😉 I’ve never heard of steppingstones program I take it’s on a app like C25K 😉🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️

No Kev it's not an app, it's what they call a podcast, once you graduate and run several 30 minute consolidation runs you can either go on to the Bridge 210K podcasts or The Stepping stones podcasts with Laura, just Google Stepping Stones podcasts, there are several, in order I have done the slower one of 30 minutes which is mainly around 150 to 155 steps a minute and the other two which I described above. 😊 🏃

Right thanks Alan that does sound very good I will have a look into that 😉🏃🏻‍♂️

Well done Kevtrev. You are doing brilliantly, improving run after run!

Nice to see the weather’s improving up north and you’re getting the usual sunny weather 🙄😂. Never mind, the weather’s to be better next week for your graduation, it has to improve sometime soon 🤞🏼 ☀️

Well done, Kevtrev! Quite right not to let a bit of water bother you! Great to see you have smashed Week 8 and looking forward to hearing all about Week 9.

Thanks Debston us mancs are used to rain lol 😂 but I do love it when it’s hot outside not to run in to bbq in and a few beers I’m not complaining because past 2 summers have been really nice . And yes I’m really happy that I’m improving week by week I will let you know how I get on with week 9 I’m looking forward to it 😉

Haha a bit of rain will never stop me and the annoying thing it only stopped when I did get home that is just typical and my trainers are soaking I hope they are dry for tomorrow as I have spin and a gym workout 😉🏃🏻‍♂️
