I was also amazed to complete the 20 minute non stop run last week. I didn't think i would ever be able to do it especially as W1R1 was such an effort. I have followed the programme exactly - running Mon, Weds & Fri and giving myself a rest at the weekends. I'm practising matching my breathing to my steps when I'm walking as I can't do it yet running.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on breathing, amongst many other things.

Enjoy your journey.

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, you were correct on giving yourself 4 days off, run 3 of week 5 is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran. 😊 🏃

Well done 👍👏

Don't worry about the breathing technique , just do what comes naturally. I'd say the vast majority on here don't breath as suggested in the podcast. I certainly don't, I tried but it just made running stressful. 🙂
